[02:02:41] <KimK> Any git gurus here tonight? I have three unrelated git repos (~/foo ~/bar ~/baz) and I thought I'd try to setup gitweb locally to browse them. But gitweb setup is asking about git projectroot and <projectname>.git. Should I have set them up to look more like ~/gitprojects/foo.git ~/gitprojects/bar.git ~/gitprojects/baz.git ? I have gitweb running up to "no projects found".
[02:04:02] <KimK> I guess I could set gitprojectroot just to "/", is that kosher?

[14:04:02] <skunkworks> so - it sounds like Yi-Shin Li is just communicationing over usb similar to the printer port communication? (it isn't actually doing motion in the mesa card)
[14:04:34] <skunkworks> I guess I could ask
[14:05:40] <skunkworks> it would be interesting to see the s-curve 'patch' if emc is still emc
[14:09:48] <SWPadnos> the thing about USB is that we expect the feedback lag to be too long, making threading or other feedback-dependent operations not work
[14:10:15] <skunkworks> right
[14:10:17] <SWPadnos> the other thing, which it's cool that they may have solved, is that we can't use Linux device drivers in HAL
[14:10:33] <skunkworks> ooooh
[14:10:56] <SWPadnos> so either they made an RTAI USB driver, they made it possible to use Linux device drivers, or they're pumping out loads of data in userspace (non ooooh)
[14:11:00] <skunkworks> but you agree that is is probably just using the mesa card like it is used with the printer port?
[14:11:05] <SWPadnos> no idea
[14:11:22] <skunkworks> heh

[14:43:59] <skunkworks> etouchy?
[14:44:04] <jepler> btfoom
[14:45:26] <jepler> looks like it's touchy with GUI controls added everywhere chris's wisdom indicated there should be physical controls
[14:45:47] <jepler> maybe I'm mistaken, let me look a bit closer
[14:45:48] <skunkworks> ah - eww
[14:47:40] <jepler> some changes regarding joint mode support. lots of spurious whitespace changes. and, yes, GUI elements for operations that should be done with a physical jogwheel.
